Terms of Service
Effective July 9, 2026
1. The service
API Watermark ("the Service", "we", "us") provides watermarking of images, videos, PDFs, and other files through a web dashboard, free browser tools, and a REST API. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization to these terms.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to the files you upload and the watermarked results. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service: receiving, processing, temporarily storing, and returning your files. We never use your files to train models, never sell them, and never share them with third parties except the infrastructure providers that run the Service.
You are responsible for your content. Do not upload files you do not have the right to process, and do not use watermarking to misrepresent the origin or ownership of content that is not yours.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to process unlawful content, to infringe intellectual-property rights, to distribute malware, or to probe, disrupt, or overload the Service. API access must respect the rate and credit limits of your plan; circumventing metering or limits is a breach of these terms.
4. Accounts and API keys
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys. Anything done with your keys counts as done by you — revoke a key immediately from the dashboard if you suspect it leaked. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment provider Stripe. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Credits reset each billing cycle and unused credits do not roll over. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. See Pricing for current plans and limits.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without a guaranteed uptime level, except where a separate enterprise agreement says otherwise. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content rights, liability limits) survive termination.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date, and continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.
